The J&K Police Public Schools to operate under the aegis of Jammu and Kashmir Police wives welfare Association (police Parivar Regd), shall cater to the educational needs and overall personality development of the wards of police serving ,retired and deceased police personnel , especially children of those who laid their lives in the line of duty.

We aspire to attain the status of nationally reputed Institution with excellence in teaching and discipline.

M I S S I O N

We commit ourselves to impart education for all without distinction of caste; color, creed religion and region at an affordable price especially free education to police martyr's ward (those wards whose parent laid their lives for upholding integrity & sovergnity of nation).

OUR OBJECTIVES

• To promote quality education for all.
• To promote discipline.
• To give free education to the wards of police martyr's.
• To produce physically and mentally fit youths.
• To achieve and sustain excellence in curricular and co-curricular activities

Aims and Objectives:

  • To create and augment educational and technical training facilities for the children of serving/ retired and deceased Police Personnel.
  • To impart high standard of education to the wards of Police Personnel.
  • To provide venues for quality education to wards of civilian in and around the area where these schools are being established.
  • To promote development of academic excellence and personality development, discipline, integrity of character, high sense of secular values and national integration among the children of Police Personnel.
  • To vigorously promote sports and co-curricular activities for all round development of children.
  • To gradually create adequate hostel facilities at selected Institutions/ districts on requirement basis.
  • To encourage all schools established by the J&K Police to become financially viable within a reasonable period.
  • To prepare the students to join Police and Para Military forces.
  • To do such other things which are incidental to the promotion of the aforementioned aims and objectives.


Management-Organisation and Function

There is a three-tier administrative command & control system for the smooth operations of the Police Public Schools.

a) Board of Administration.
b) Management Committee.
c) General Administration.

(A) Board of Administration - The Board at the Police Headquarters comprise of the following officers:

DGP Patron
ADGP(Hqrs.) Chairman  (In case absence of ADGP(Hqrs.), IGP(Hqrs.) will  function as Chairman)
ADGP Armed/L & O Member
IGP (Hqrs.) Member
IsGP at the Station. Members
DIG (Administration) PHQ Member
AIG Welfare. Member Secretary

Special invitees: Range DIsG of Police/ District SP in case of Kupwara (Administrative Officer)

 

(B) Management Committee - The following will constitute the management committee of J&K Police Public Schools:-

Lady wife of the DG Police, J&K Chairperson
Lady wives of Senior Police Officers(to be separately nominated by PHQ) Members
DIG (Administration) Member
Range DIsG of Police/ District SP in case of Kupwara. (Administrative Officer ) Members
AIG Welfare Member Secretary/ convener
Principal of concerned School Member

Note:- Chairperson may co-opt any other Lady/ Officer as member, if so required.

(C) General Administration - There will be a two-tier general administration system for each J&K Police Public School viz;

  • Administrators.
  • Principal
